Morris-Jenkins makes it EASY to take care of a home. That’s why they’ve earned a 4.9-star rating across 35,924 Google reviews (and counting!). It can feel impossible to find companies nowadays that do things the right way the first time. But so many of the tens of thousands of 5-star reviews for Morris-Jenkins repeat sentiments like: “they treated my home with respect,” “the technician took the time to explain everything clearly,” and “they paid careful attention to detail.”

When people experience the difference with Morris-Jenkins, they see why so many families around the greater Charlotte area trust Morris-Jenkins for heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical services.

Our analysis found Morris-Jenkins averaging 4.90 stars across 35,924 verified Google reviews — #54 among the 357 U.S. HVAC companies we evaluated, and #16 in the South.

That scale didn't happen overnight. Family-owned since 1958 — when founder Luther Morris started with a pickup truck, a tool shed, and a promise to do right by the customer — Morris-Jenkins has grown into the Charlotte region's largest heating, air, and plumbing provider, with more than 600 employees.

The reviews didn't happen by automation, either. Morris-Jenkins put a company-wide focus on reviews around 2013, before most of the industry was paying attention to review sites. The ask has always come from the technician, in the home, at the end of the job — a conversation, not a cold email days later. Thirteen years of that habit is what the number looks like.

But a request only works if the customer wants to say yes. Every internal process — how you schedule, how the team communicates, how fast they arrive, how fast they solve the problem — gets run through one filter: is this easy for the customer? If the answer is no, they find a different way. Call in the morning, and in many cases a new system can be installed the same day.

"Our focus on making it easy for the customer … that's what we live and die by." — Casey Welch, CMO, Morris-Jenkins

The past year has tested that filter. Morris-Jenkins is in its second full year of electrical service and, in April, opened its second location ever, in Greenville, South Carolina. "We're not trying to get in there and just sell a new system and then ghost," Welch told us. A service-first company, first.

Sixty-eight years after that first pickup truck, Morris-Jenkins is still running every decision through the same question: is this easy for the customer? Thirty-six thousand reviews suggest the answer is usually yes.
